Selva Futura is the future-oriented project of the forestry and wood industry in Graubünden and Eastern Switzerland. Together, they are creating an integrated value chain—from the forest to innovative wood products. The goal: to process wood where it grows, to keep value creation within the region, and to strengthen an industry that is of significant economic, ecological, and social importance. Supported by businesses, research institutions, and policymakers, Selva Futura is evolving into a generational project with far-reaching impact—for the region and far beyond.

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m., everything in Savognin/Tinizong will revolve around the fascinating raw material: wood. The UFFER GROUP is opening its doors and inviting visitors to enjoy a varied day full of exciting insights and surprising discoveries.

At the “Bark Beetle Detection Dogs Graubünden” sponsor event held in April 2026 in Domleschg, the focus was on a topic that highlights just how multifaceted modern forest protection is today. Specially trained dogs help detect bark beetle infestations at an early stage, enabling targeted action to be taken.

Our protective forest cannot wait. Bark beetles are eating their way through weakened trees. Often, the infestation goes unnoticed for a long time. By the time we see it, it is usually too late. Trees die, slopes lose stability, and we all bear the consequences.

Sustainability thrives on concrete commitment: The Laudinella Group has sponsored the project "Bark beetle detection dogs Anco and Dyson #08/4," thereby sending a strong signal for the protection of our mountain forests.

Resurses SA and the Pignaverde Foundation support projects relating to the wood chain and Swiss wood.

We at the Pignaverde Foundation are committed to the preservation and maintenance of protection forests, particularly in mountainous areas and especially in our home region of Graubünden.

The Pignaverde Foundation is delighted to present the new "Abundanza" project, which is dedicated to the restoration and long-term maintenance of species-rich forest meadows. These valuable areas have lost much of their biodiversity in recent years due to a lack of maintenance - once diverse habitats have become increasingly overgrown and impoverished.

The "#01/2 Riz" project has now been officially completed with the symbolic handover of the donation cheque for CHF 20,000 to the municipality of Surses.

In April 2024, we started working with the two district foresters Antonin Hugentobler (Scuol Forestry Office) and Mario Lucchinetti (Bregaglia Forestry Office). Their idea of developing a training program for bark beetle detection dogs convinced us right from the start.

The Pignaverde Foundation team has used the warm, golden autumn days of the past few weeks to produce images. Together with partner communities from whom the wood processing center receives and processes resurse wood, they have teamed up and developed exciting scripts for scenes in and around the forest.

What a day! Saturday, October 5, 2024, could go down in history for the Pignaverde Foundation. On the occasion of the traditional sheep shearing, Pignaverde was able to arouse a great deal of interest and attracted remarkable attention.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, 300 sheep will return to the valley from the Alp Flix and will be greeted with a warm welcome at the traditional sheep shearing market in the heart of Savognin. During the shearing of the 300 sheep, market stalls all around offer regional products for sale and tasting, a show-swinging event is organized and, of course, musical interludes are not to be missed in addition to many other highlights - also for the little ones. Passione Engadina is one of the most important international classic car events. The annual get-together of Italian automobiles from numerous decades has long since established itself and is a household name among connoisseurs. The 13th edition took place last weekend in perfect weather. This year's guest brand was Maserati. In honor of the 110th anniversary of the traditional car brand from Modena, Passione Engadina put the "Maserati" brand in the spotlight! This year's event was once again very popular and sold out early. Well over 100 classic and modern gems took part and enjoyed the beauty of the Grisons mountains.

The premiere last Sunday, August 4, was a success! For the first time, we had a market stall at the rock festival in Bivio. Together with our partners from Parc Ela, we formed a small market village on the main theme of "Forest Culture". We had many interesting conversations and our ball game was a big hit with both children and adults. Many thanks for the numerous visits and donations for our Pignaverde Foundation.

The glorious summer evening invited us to hold an exciting outdoor event from the "Forest Culture" summer series. Together with our partner Parc Ela, we welcomed a dozen guests to the "Borki" event - protecting the mountain forest with sniffer dogs on the Lareschs playground in Savognin.

In close cooperation with the Surses Forestry Office, the pioneering project "#01/2 Riz" was developed and launched on 26 September 2023. On 20 June 2024, the first project of the Pignaverde Foundation was successfully accepted.

Trained sniffer dogs support the fight against the bark beetle

In the area Riz, above the Marmorera lake, along the Julierpass road was started.

The modern wood processing center "resurses" in Tinizong was officially opened on the popular "Klaus occasion" of December 6, 2022.

The renowned institution from the Engadin will be Pignaverde's first project sponsor.

On December 14, 2021, history was made, at least for the forest community, for all those who belong and for those who want to become one.
