A certificate for genuine forest protection: Hotel Laudinella takes responsibility

Our protective forest cannot wait. Bark beetles are eating their way through weakened trees. Often, the infestation goes unnoticed for a long time. By the time we see it, it is usually too late. Trees die, slopes lose stability, and we all bear the consequences.

New approaches and committed partners are needed to protect the forest in the long term.

Thanks to funding from the Hotel Laudinella, the 08/4 Sniffer Dogs Anco and Dyson project was able to be implemented. The sniffer dogs are being trained to detect bark beetle infestations at an early stage in the future. Their speed, precision, and efficiency give foresters valuable time. Time that is crucial for preserving trees and ensuring the stability of slopes.

The hotel's commitment is part of a broader approach. In connection with its hotel expansion, Laudinella deliberately chose wood as a sustainable building material. Support for the project is therefore an expression of a holistic understanding of responsibility: those who build with wood also take responsibility for the forest. By sponsoring the project, the hotel wants to give something back to the forest. In doing so, it is actively contributing to the protection of forests in our mountain region. We were honored to officially present the hotel with a certificate for this commitment. This certificate is more than just a document. It stands for an attitude and for not only communicating sustainability, but also living it.

Investing in forests today protects the region, visitors, locals, jobs, and quality of life tomorrow. It is a step that has a real impact, and one that we can only take together.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Hotel Laudinella for their trust and valuable support.
