Selva Futura — for greater value creation

What is Selva Futura?

Selva Futura is an SME initiative that stems from two specific projects: First, the commissioning of the Resurses sawmill, which marked a milestone in primary processing in the canton of Graubünden; and second, the HolzvisionMAX, whose unveiling of the Muni Max at ESAF 2025 signaled the start of a new era of collaboration within the wood value chain in Eastern Switzerland and the canton of Graubünden.

Selva Futura is built on a shared foundation: the Pignaverde Foundation and the Säntis Innovation Cluster for Wood (SICH). Rather than establishing a new, independent organization, Selva Futura leverages the existing structures and expertise of these two organizations to operate efficiently and effectively.

In collaboration with partners both within and outside the forestry and timber industry, we develop projects of varying sizes, all of which are aimed at the sustainable and successful advancement of the timber industry and the maximization of value creation.

Public Launch of Selva Futura

Selva Futura will be presented to the general public for the first time at the Future Forum on Forests & Wood on October 30, 2026, in Savognin at the UFFER GROUP. From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we will discuss current and forward-looking topics from the wood value chain with leading figures from the Swiss forest and wood industry, research, politics, and business; we will highlight new ideas and provide impetus to jointly advance the future of the Swiss forest and wood industry. In the afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., we will provide practical insights into specific projects.
